Zeb Hadley President/CEO

As President and CEO of National Coatings Inc, Zeb oversees the company’s operational procedures, policies, and standards to ensure production efficiency, quality service and cost-effective management of resources. He also plans, develops, implements, directs, and evaluates the organization’s fiscal function and performance, while also stimulating its operation to generate resources, promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization. While leading the company, Zeb has led National Coatings, Inc. to receive various awards and top recognition, such as multiple APC Top Job of the Year, multiple ABC STEP Diamond awards, four-time winner of TBJ’s Fast 50, multiple ENR awards both regionally and nationally, Business North Carolina’s Business of the Year and so much more. He has personally won the prestigious awards of Triangle Business Journal’s CFO of the Year, CIO of the Year, and 40 under 40 at the age of 34. Zeb resides in North Carolina with his wife and children. Outside of the office, you can find Zeb playing golf, fishing on the North Carolina Coast, or cheering on NC State Athletics. GO PACK!

Sparky Cullen Chief Financial Officer

Sparky joined our team in 2025 as our Chief Financial Officer.  He is an entrepreneurial, highly accomplished, and motivated leader with more than 33 years of experience across multiple industries.  He has held the top financial position at various organizations over the past 25 years, helping drive financial efficiency and stability.  He is a strategic thinker with an operational mindset and a history of helping companies achieve significant growth.  He has experience with M&A and recently prepared and led a company through a very successful sale.

Sparky holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master of Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He loves college sports, live music and comedy, and an occasional round of golf.

Byron Graham Vice President People and Culture

Byron joined our team in early 2025 bringing over 25 years of experience in talent acquisition, leadership development, and organizational growth. The VP of People and Culture drives company success by developing and implementing people-focused strategies aligned with quarterly and annual goals.  Overseeing the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and employee relations, he will cultivate a positive, collaborative environment that attracts, retains, and motivates top talent while embodying the company’s 4 core values.

Byron believes deeply in the transformative power of investing in people, understanding that they are the heart and soul of an organization.  Byron was born and raised in Chicago and recently gave up winter for the NC beaches and mountains.  He enjoys all sports along with hiking, fishing, and spending on DIY projects.

Michelle Critcher VICE PRESIDENT OF COMPLIANCE

Michelle joined our team in 2017 as a Project Executive. She has 20 years of general construction experience running federal and commercial projects. During her 5 years with National Coatings Michelle has been instrumental in streamlining the Accounts Receivable Department. She assisted with the implementation of our current Accounting and Project Management software systems and guides the National Coatings team in the processes of contract administration.

Michelle holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She resides in Apex, NC with her husband, daughter, and their dog, Eclipse. Outside of work she enjoys soccer, hiking and the beach.
